- Friday, October 2, 2026 World Smile Day: October's First Friday, a Foundation Born in 2001 World Smile Day falls on the first Friday of October. Its foundation began in 2001, after Harvey Ball died, not founded by him in 1999 as Wikipedia states.
- Saturday, October 3, 2026 National Boyfriend Day: October 3, and Its Unverified Origin National Boyfriend Day falls on October 3 every year. The date is consistent across sources, but no founder, registration, or proclamation can be verified.
- Sunday, October 4, 2026 Banned Books Week: A Moving Date, No Federal Law Behind It Its date broke from late September into October in three of the last four years, and seven straight resolutions to make it official have all stalled in Congress.
- Monday, October 5, 2026 World Teachers' Day: October 5, and the National Days It Isn't World Teachers' Day falls every October 5, proclaimed by UNESCO in 1994. India's own Teachers' Day predates it by 32 years and is not the same observance.
- Tuesday, October 6, 2026 National Taco Day: The First Tuesday of October, Not October 4 National Taco Day was October 4 for years. In September 2024, Taco Bell and the registrar moved it to the first Tuesday of October, making 2026's date October 6.
- Saturday, October 10, 2026 World Mental Health Day: October 10, and Its 1992 Founder World Mental Health Day falls on October 10, founded in 1992 by WFMH's Richard Hunter. Two nearby dates are often confused with it, but share no founder.
- Monday, October 12, 2026 Is Mail Delivered on Columbus Day? What's Open Regular mail is not expected on Columbus Day 2026. Post offices and the Fed close, the NYSE trades, and Chase's commercial-banking notice says its branches stay open.
- Friday, October 16, 2026 National Boss's Day: October 16, and the Rule Nobody Signed Off On National Boss's Day falls on October 16 every year, registered by Patricia Bays Haroski in 1958. The weekend-shift rule widely repeated for it has no traceable source.
- Saturday, October 17, 2026 National Pasta Day: An Origin No One Can Source The '1995 National Pasta Association' story behind October 17 has no source. What is documented: National Pasta Month, and the real World Pasta Day, October 25.
- Wednesday, October 21, 2026 National Apple Day: October 21, and a Documented Founder National Apple Day falls on October 21, founded in 1990 by Britain's Common Ground charity, though most calendar sites never name the founder at all.
- Friday, October 23, 2026 Red Ribbon Week: October 23–31 Every Year, and Who Actually Runs It Red Ribbon Week runs October 23–31 every year, fixed dates set by the National Family Partnership. The DEA supports and promotes it but did not found or organize it.
- Wednesday, October 28, 2026 National First Responders Day: Eleven Bills, No Statute October 28 is National First Responders Day. Congress introduced eleven bills across a decade: the Senate passed two, the House never passed one at all.
- Thursday, October 29, 2026 National Cat Day: October 29, and Which Cat Holiday You Mean National Cat Day falls on October 29 in the US, founded in 2005 by Colleen Paige. At least three other cat observances use similar names but different dates.
- Sunday, November 1, 2026 No-Shave November: All of November, Not the Same as Movember No-Shave November runs the full month of November every year. A Chicago family started it on Facebook in 2009, and it is a separate campaign from Movember.
- Sunday, November 1, 2026 American Diabetes Month: A Week in 1981, a Month in 1982 American Diabetes Month covers all of November. The ADA traces it to 1975, but Reagan's first proclamation, in 1981, set aside only a single week.
- Sunday, November 1, 2026 National Epilepsy Awareness Month: The Resolution That Never Passed November is National Epilepsy Awareness Month. Congress tried three times to make it official, in 2002, 2003, and 2011, but none of the resolutions ever passed.
- Sunday, November 1, 2026 Movember: All of November, and a Second Movember from 1999 Movember runs all of November worldwide. A separate, unrelated group coined the same name in Adelaide back in 1999, years before today's charity began.
- Sunday, November 1, 2026 Lung Cancer Awareness Month: All of November, and Who Started It Lung Cancer Awareness Month covers all of November. A patient group founded it in 1998, 22 years before Congress recognized it, and no law makes it permanent.
- Friday, November 6, 2026 National Nachos Day: November 6, and No Founder on Record National Nachos Day falls every November 6. The dish has a well-documented 1943 origin, but no founder or registration has ever been traced to the observance itself.
- Wednesday, November 11, 2026 Veterans Day 2026: Date and What's Closed Veterans Day 2026 is Wednesday, November 11. The date never moves to a Monday, though the day off can. See what closes and how weekends shift it through 2031.
- Friday, November 13, 2026 World Kindness Day: November 13, and Singapore's Other 1997 World Kindness Day falls every November 13, launched in 1998 by a 1997 Tokyo coalition. Singapore's own kindness group, founded the same year, is unrelated.
- Thursday, November 19, 2026 International Men's Day: November 19, and a Match It Lost International Men's Day falls every November 19, founded in 1999 by Jerome Teelucksingh. The 1989 match behind the date's origin story ended in a loss, not a win.
- Saturday, November 21, 2026 National Adoption Day: Two Sites Have 2026's Date Wrong Two major calendar sites list November 22, 2026 for this observance. The organizers say November 21, and the waiting-children count is years out of date.
- Wednesday, February 10, 2027 When Does Lent Start and End? Dates Through 2031 Lent starts on Ash Wednesday, February 18 in 2026. Where it ends depends on the church: Holy Thursday under Catholic norms, Holy Saturday in many others.
- Saturday, February 13, 2027 Galentine's Day: February 13, Invented by One TV Episode Galentine's Day falls on February 13, the day before Valentine's Day. Its origin is unusually well documented: a single 2010 episode of Parks and Recreation.

- Thursday, April 1, 2027 National Burrito Day: First Thursday of April, No Named Founder National Burrito Day moves with the calendar, always the first Thursday of April, but no person, company, or filing has ever been tied to starting it.
- Thursday, April 1, 2027 Autism Awareness Month: No Verified Founder Autism Awareness Month runs all of April. Its 1970 and 1988 founding claims aren't in any presidential archive; only a separate UN day, April 2, is documented.
- Thursday, July 22, 2027 National Mango Day: July 22, and a 1987 Story Nobody Can Source National Mango Day falls on July 22 in the US and India. A widely repeated 1987 story traces to a real Delhi mango festival, not a decision to create this day.
- Thursday, August 26, 2027 National Dog Day: August 26, and Two Origin Stories That Don't Agree National Dog Day falls on August 26, founded in 2004 by Colleen Paige. Her own organization's website gives two different, unreconciled reasons for why the day exists.
- Wednesday, September 1, 2027 National Suicide Prevention Month: Never Made Federal Law September carries the name nationwide, but no Congress has passed it and no President has proclaimed it. Only September 10 gets an annual proclamation.
- Wednesday, September 1, 2027 Prostate Cancer Awareness Month: September, Except Once in 2001 Prostate Cancer Awareness Month covers all of September. In 2001 the Senate asked for September, but that year's presidential proclamation named November instead.

- Saturday, September 4, 2027 National Wildlife Day: September 4, Founding Year in Dispute National Wildlife Day falls every September 4, founded by Colleen Paige. Sources disagree on whether it began in 2005 or in 2006, after Steve Irwin died.
- Sunday, September 12, 2027 National Grandparents Day: The Date Rule in US Federal Law National Grandparents Day falls on the first Sunday in September after Labor Day, not the first Sunday in September. The statutory rule, explained.
- Wednesday, September 15, 2027 National Hispanic Heritage Month: Signed 1988, Proclaimed 1989 Hispanic Heritage Month runs September 15 to October 15 every year, set by a 1988 law, though the first month-long proclamation waited until 1989.

- Saturday, September 25, 2027 National Quesadilla Day: September 25, Founded by V&V Supremo in 2019 National Quesadilla Day falls every September 25, launched by V&V Supremo Foods in 2019. The company's own current website dates its own creation to 2020.

- Zodiac Dates October 14 Zodiac: Libra by Date, Virgo by Sky October 14 is Libra on every mainstream tropical chart. The actual constellation and Vedic sidereal astrology both still place the Sun in Virgo on this date.
- Birthstones March Birthstone: Aquamarine and Bloodstone March's birthstone is aquamarine on Jewelers of America's current chart. GIA and the American Gem Society both also list bloodstone as a second option.
- Birthstones September Birthstone: Sapphire, Unchanged Since 1912 Sapphire is September's only official birthstone, one of the few never revised since 1912, though the UK trade list still adds a second stone, lapis lazuli.
- Zodiac Dates Scorpio Dates: October 23–November 21, or 24 to 22? Scorpio runs October 23 to November 21 in tropical astrology, though Britannica dates it a day later. Sidereal astrology draws yet another line.
